Dear LAE Parents and Guardians,

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this weekend, as there is the potential for inclement weather that could impact our return to school on Monday.

At this time, school is still scheduled to resume as planned. However, in an abundance of caution, students will be sent home with additional remote learning packets in the event that school is unable to open due to weather conditions. These packets will allow learning to continue if a closure becomes necessary.

Should we need to close or delay school, families will be notified as soon as possible through the following channels:

-Local news outlets

Little Axe Elementary Veteran's Day assembly is on Tuesday, November 11th at 2:30. All veterans in the community or family members of students at LAE are welcome to attend! Please RSVP by Thursday, November 6th!

Attendance notification letters are being sent out today. These letters are to notify you of your student's attendance. All absences are included on the notification letters. If you have provided doctor's notes, contacted the office for family emergencies, or other situations about your child's attendance, these will still show up but have been documented properly. If you have questions about your attendance letter, please contact our front office at 405-447-0913.
